BES - Unable to login to BES Console Application

One of the most common issues for not being able to connect to a BES Server from the BES Console after install/upgrade is because the installer was not run with elevated 'Administrator' Privileges.

You should be aware that on more recent operating systems even being logged in on an account with elevated privileges is insufficient and you will need to run the install by selecting it with a right mouse click and then selecting 'Run as administrator'.
