The ird (Incident Request Daemon) goes into standalone mode when it cant connect to the program that creates tickets e.g. Remedy. If there is a problem with the connection between the ird and the ticketing tool, the following error is logged to the $PPLOG/ird.log:
ird: ERROR: (readwrite) No receipt, running in STANDALONE mode
If you see this error, check there is a valid connection between the ird and the ticketing tool. If the problem only lies with the ird and no other integration on BES, the likelihood is that the problem is down to a network issue on the ticketing tool side. However, it may also be beneficial to check the BES system logs for the network status and uptime to see if there is in fact a network issue.
