BES 3.6 - How to set a BES user (local account not LDAP) so password never expires.

Mathew Allbright Jun 12, 2014 03:04PM UTC

Hi

Please can someone advise how to set a BES user account so that the password never expires? In the Server Configuration details accessed via the admin console, User Password Expiry is currently set to 31 days, however, this is the case in our BES 3.5 system where we already have an account in here where the password does not expire.

Regards

Matt

Hi Matthew,

You would have to do this at the DB layer with direct SQL:

update ISS_PP_Authentication_Table set expiry = '2999/01/01 00:00:00' where username = 'XXXXXX'

You can do this via DBcmd

DBcmd "update ISS_PP_Authentication_Table set expiry = '2999/01/01 00:00:00' where username = 'xxxxx'"
