What are S_BUFFER alerts and why are we seeing them

Colin Keeley Aug 02, 2019 02:28PM UTC

Hi

We are seeing alerts from various message channels that just say 'S_BUFFER.xxxx' where x is a number.

That's all I can tell you, there is no other content. The original message is actually blank.

Obviously these are passthru's. The POWERpack_Log only shows an entry for each occurance as being sent to the alertserver, nothing about where they have come from.

Where are these coming from, why and how?

Hi Colin,

I think that buffer alerts normally come from the system message channel via an IssueSysAlert however I dont think these are related to your alerts.

Would you be able to check the transformers that are in use on these message channels. Is it possible they are all using the same transformer? Could you attach a copy of the transformer or send it to me via an email. harry.clowes@interlinksoftware.com

Thanks
Harry
